Brevard NC – The Land of Waterfalls

Yes, the Land of Waterfalls - in Brevard NC.   For the past days – it has been WHERE the Water falls.  With the southeastern part of the United States, we too received our share of rain drops – lots of rain drops.

In an area where we have over 250 waterfalls and we get a fair amount of rain yet total rain out days is not the norm. Normally, rain will come at night or a short time during the day then the sun will come out. The sun hasn’t shown it’s face for quite a few days – maybe a bit this morning – the forecast is for more rain this afternoon. Personally I haven’t seen this much rain since 2004 when Western North Carolina was graced with the remnants of 4 hurricanes.

We all have the folks in and around rivers, streams and lakes in our thoughts and prayers as the water rises and recedes.
